Jehan is so cute. His facial expression is somehere between adoration and ADD four year old, and it's absolutely precious. Just lovely.
As an aside, I started following the Jehan thread on Abaissé... GOODNESS. I didn't know any of that... *feels so ignorant* I laughed so hard reading most of it. It's just so interesting to know that he wasn't a total fluff-bucket.
I don't think you could do a bad job with anything! Your technique is superb-- and your skill at relating visuals-- sublime!! From facial expressions, to postures, to the fold of fabric-- sink me! Every piece is a symphony!
Lovely picture! Jehan is, as usual, gorgeous. The expression on his face is to die for. He just looks like he would go through it all again just to see the archangel coming to his rescue with that glorious shining hair. The "somewhat-amused-and-concerned" look on Enjolras's face is perfect. It's as though he can't quite believe Jehan's reaction, but he's not going to make a big deal of it. Have I mentioned before how much I love your illustrations?
I'm still snickering at how inappropriate Jehan looks, from his hideous folded-up trousers to that happily soppy "OMG I saw your hair and you were like an angel, it was SUBLIME!" look upon his face. (He doesn't seem to mind at all that he has a ghastly head wound, does he...). Which is pretty much the way maguerite wrote him, so kudos to you for depicting that scene so well!
